thecruncher, personnaly i have denver -4.5 as well but since i waited until last night for all lines to become avaiable, i had to post denver -5.5 as my play, because that was the line avaiable at the time of my post. gotta be honnest with fellow posters here.
yes, some of my lines are far from normal but that happens every week. (last week the line for cleveland was -2.5 and i had them at -21.5. they won by 17, so i guess my line was much much sharper than vegas line. these are home vs away ratings, updated every week. been doing this for many yrs.
ace-ace, i only play 4-5 nfl games a week. the best 4-5 gms that is. so, the value with atlanta +4.5 = 11 pts vs the line, and the value with stl -6 is only 5 pts. there are a few plays that could be played for half a unit this week, like cleveland or dallas, but i decided not to play them. i will stick with these best 5. good luck.

So, you statistically separate home and away games completely? Interesting approach that I haven't tried. I weigh homefield turf or grass and how many games played on said surface some, but I also use the stats from all games. Last week I had Clevland 23 - Cincy 18 capped so I won a small play on them, but yes, the final score should have been much more lopsided then it was! I've posted my full card of score predictions in another thread if you want to compare them.
